Project Name: The Project for Capacity Enhancement for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD)

Main Project Features: A technical cooperation project of JICA for capacity building and preparation of TOD (Transit Oriented Development) guideline, TOD planning method, and TOD implementation method in the Philippines. The counterpart is Base Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). During the project implementation, two BCDA owned sites for TOD development will be selected, and the project will support BCDA to prepare the TOD project tenders by providing the above-mentioned tasks including major parameters, terms and conditions (PTCs) for the TOD project tenders.

During the project implementation, several pilot sites for TOD development will be proposed by different local government bodies including DKI (Jakarta Special Province) in KABODETABEK, and a TOD project implementation plan will be prepared for each selected pilot site on the basis of the guideline and the methods prepare in this technical cooperation project.

Project Name: North–South Commuter Railway Extension (NSCR-EX) Project (Malolos–Clark) (Solis–Calamba) General Consultant Service

Main Project Features: Tender preparation and supervision of construction and procurement of the Malolos-Clark section of the North-South Commuter Railway project in Metro Manila Region currently in progress on the basis of doner finance from JICA and ADB. The O&M portion of the NSCR project is scheduled to be procured in a PPP O&M concession tender which is now being prepared by the transaction advisory team of ADB.

Activities Performed:
To estimate the O&M cost of the entire NSCR project on behalf of the client to be used as a public sector comparator, and support the client in preparation of contract management plan of the PPP O&M concession contract in terms of how the asset management system works and how relevant information are generated among sub-systems of urban railway, together with the transaction advisor.
In addition to that, various supporting activities for the client and the transaction advisor with regards to the O&M operational and technical and asset management related requirements for the PPP O&M concession tender are being conducted.
Project Name: Strengthening of Management Ability of Operation and Maintenance Company for the Opening of Railway Line1 in Ho Chi Minh City

Main Project Features: A technical cooperation project to strengthening the management ability of the O&M company for the opening of Urban Railway Line 1 in Ho Chi Minh City which is under progress based on JICA finance. Various capacity building and training are being conducted by JICA consultant team to the staff of HURC1 (the O&M company for the Line 1) for the opening and the sustainable O&M operation of the Urban Railway Line 1.
